The face and heart behind Keela Josephine Photography.
I am just a down to earth girl born and raised in the Twin Cities. I am the proud mama of a miracle boy, two sweet & feisty girls, and a home full of plants. I am happily divorced and through my growth and healing journey am fortunate to say I have been dating the man of my dreams for the past few years. He is my biggest cheerleader and best friend.
My photography journey started out at the stereotypical mom just wanting to take more pictures of her kid. With the persuasion of family and friends it quickly turned into something more. I learned not only could I create visual art, but I had a passion for capturing family connection and motherhood. Something that means the world to me.
Through the loss of my father at a young age I quickly learned to treasure every fleeting moment, creating a poignant narrative that whispers the importance of cherishing the present and honoring the memories of the past.

I love thrifting. Finding deals and vintage items speak to my soul. The majority of my family's wardrobe and our home's decor is 2nd hand.

I am a crazy plant lady. Yes, I really do need all the plants! I'll take a new plant over a bouquet of flowers any day.

I am influenced by positivity and snacks. Dips are my favorite.

I say no to watermelon, root beer, and bad manners. Peanut butter, ketchup, and kindness win every time.

I have a love for classic sports cars. Maybe you will one day see me cruising down the road with the windows down and my shades on. A girl can dream.
MY favorite things

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me hanging out at home with my three favorite little humans. We love cuddles, doing activities together and having random dance parties.
After losing my father at the age of 10 and almost losing my first born baby due to a rare medical condition, I quickly learned how powerful and selfless motherly love is. My relationship with my children is everything to me.
I want my children to look back on a strong and loving mother who never gave up, or picked herself up when she fell. I want them to be reminded of how it felt for me to embrace them with hugs , wipe the tears from their cheeks and smother them with kisses.
The great outdoors
Like many Minnesotans, growing up I had the luxury of heading north on the weekends. My grandparents had a home on a lake, we called the cabin. Many of my fondest memories take place there with my family and cousins. We would wake up and swim all day and end it at a bonfire watching the sunset over the lake and later wishing upon the stars.
It is my dream to eventually travel to all the national parks. I enjoy exploring and witnessing the great natural beauty God has gifted us.

Card games, yard games, board games, athletic sports, you name it... if there is an adult phys-ed class, sign me up!!
Some of my favorite time spent with family and friends is being competitive and playing games all night long.
Some of my favs include Cornhole, Up and Down the River, Sequence, Beer Pong and I've recently started to dip my toes into the golfing world.
You may even find me playing games like Rock, Paper, Scissors, and Red Light Green Light during your sessions.
